Mission Baba Nanak is dedicated to honoring Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s journey to Baghdad and reviving his universal message of peace, equality, and service.
Guru Nanak’s teachings — Naam Japna (remembering the divine), Kirat Karni (honest living), and Vand Chakna(sharing with others) — continue to inspire millions around the world. His visit to Baghdad in the early 1500s left behind a sacred site that symbolizes dialogue, unity, and compassion among faiths.
Our vision is to restore and reimagine this historic space as a living tribute to those values through three key efforts:
-
Restoration of the Shrine – Preserving the site where Guru Nanak shared his message, creating a peaceful space for reflection and connection.
-
Free Kitchen (Langar) – Serving meals to all, regardless of background, in the spirit of equality and community.
-
Medical Center – Providing accessible healthcare to people of all faiths and walks of life.
These initiatives aim to keep Guru Nanak’s message alive by nurturing compassion, service, and understanding among people around the world.
